Project Director – Data Center / Mega Infrastructure (International EPC Experience)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an exceptionally seasoned Project Director to lead end-to-end site execution and delivery for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure and hyperscale data center projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience on the lump-sum EPC / Main Contractor side, with a proven track record of delivering mega-projects in international markets (Middle East, Africa, or APAC).

Key Responsibilities1. In office Project Execution & Delivery

- Lead complete site execution, mobilization, construction, testing, and commissioning of large-scale, mission-critical projects from ground zero to handover.

- Drive daily site operations, technical execution, subcontractor management, material expediting, and equipment erection adhering to stringent global standards.

- Ensure seamless integration of civil structural works, high-voltage electrical distribution, heavy HVAC/chiller systems, and specialized MEP packages.

2. International & Mega-Project Leadership
- Leverage international execution expertise (Middle East/Africa/APAC) to implement global best practices in safety (HSE), quality management (QA/QC), and project controls.

- Directly manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams, site managers,



and localized/international supply chains under tight execution schedules.

3. Commercial, Contracts & Risk Governance
- Oversee lump-sum EPC contract management, budget control, variation orders, progress billing, and cost forecasting.

- Mitigate project execution risks, schedule slippages, and resource bottlenecks to guarantee on-time completion within commercial baselines.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary single point of contact (SPOC) for client representatives, key project consultants, and regulatory authorities.

- Maintain clear reporting and alignment between on-site execution teams and corporate leadership in Mumbai.

Key Requirements & Preferred Candidate Profile
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. (PMP / PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage).

- Work Experience: Minimum 18+ years of total experience, with a significant portion spent in senior execution leadership roles (Project Director / Senior Project Manager).

- Employer Type: Strong preference for candidates coming directly from EPC / Main Contracting / Design-Build firms (not purely client/PMC side).

- International Exposure: Mandatory on-site project execution experience outside India (Middle East, Africa, or APAC region).

- Domain Expertise: Delivered hyperscale Data Centers (>20 MW) OR Mega Infrastructure projects (Airports, Large Industrial Complexes, High-Spec Commercial/Malls).

- Base Location: Based in or open to immediate relocation to Mumbai.
