Position: Linux Administrator
Experience: 5–8 Years

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Linux system administration, virtualization, scripting, troubleshooting, and infrastructure operations. The candidate should be capable of independently deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production and lab environments based on Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS/Rocky Linux servers.
- Install and manage virtualization platforms including KVM and Proxmox VE.
- Create, configure, clone, migrate, snapshot, back up, and restore Virtual Machines (VMs).
- Configure VM resources including CPU, memory, storage, network interfaces, bridges, and VLANs.
- Perform Linux installation, OS upgrades, patch management, package management, and security updates.
- Develop and maintain Bash/Shell and Python scripts for automation, monitoring, deployment, backup, and routine administrative activities.
- Troubleshoot Linux OS issues related to:
- CPU, memory, disk, and system performance
- Boot and system/service failures
- Filesystems, LVM, RAID, and storage
- Network interfaces, bonding, bridging, VLANs, routing, DNS, and firewall
- User, group, SSH, Sudo, and permission-related issues

- Configure and troubleshoot services such as SSH, NTP/Chorny, DNS, DHCP, NFS, Samba, HTTP/HTTPS, and SFTP.
- Monitor server health, resource utilization, logs, processes, and services and perform root-cause analysis.
- Configure and manage Linux networking, including static routes, bonding, bridges, VLANs, NAT, iptables/nftables/firewalld.
- Manage storage using LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI,



and local/network storage.
- Implement server hardening, access controls, SSH security, firewall policies, and OS-level security best practices.
- Perform backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and VM recovery activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, troubleshooting procedures, and operational SOPs.
- Provide L2/L3 support for Linux infrastructure and coordinate with application, network, security, and development teams.

- Experience managing physical servers and data-center/lab infrastructure

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 5–8 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience managing both physical and virtualized Linux infrastructure.
- Ability to automate repetitive administration tasks through scripting.
- Comfortable working independently on production and lab environments.
- Good understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, security, and infrastructure operations.
- Valuable documentation and communication skills.
