Job Title: Procurement Manager / Executive Materials (Interior Projects)

Role Overview

The Procurement Manager/Executive will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing all materials required for turnkey interior fit-out projects. This role focuses exclusively on material procurement (finishes, fixtures, raw materials, and consumables) and ensures timely availability, cost efficiency, and quality compliance across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

I) Procurement

A) Material (Civil & Interiors) Procurement

- Procure all Civil & Interior project materials including:
- Civil & finishing materials (cement, sand, plywood, laminates, veneers)
- Fixtures & fittings (lighting, sanitaryware, hardware)
- MEP materials (electricals, HVAC components, plumbing items)
- Furniture and dcor elements as per project scope

- Identify and develop a reliable vendor/supplier base across categories

B) Manpower (Contractor & Labour) Procurement

- Identify and onboard reliable labour contractors, subcontractors, and manpower agencies for Civil & interior works (Structural, carpentry, painting, tiles/granite/marble works, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gypsum, partition, furniture fittings etc.)
- Develop and maintain a solid vendor database of labour suppliers across regions
- Source skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workforce based on project requirements

II) Vendor Management

- Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery timelines
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and dealers
- Conduct regular performance reviews of vendors

III) Costing & Negotiation

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and bulk purchase agreements
- Prepare comparative statements (CS) and recommend cost-effective options
- Achieve cost savings without compromising quality standards

Purchase Planning & Coordination

- Collaborate with design, estimation, and project teams to understand BOQs and specifications
- Plan procurement schedules aligned with project timelines
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays

V) Inventory & Logistics Coordination

- Coordinate with stores/warehouse teams for inventory control and stock optimization
- Track material consumption and minimize wastage
- Oversee logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules

VI) Quality Assurance

- Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate inspections and approvals where required
- Handle replacement/returns for defective materials

VII) Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain purchase orders (POs), invoices, delivery challans, and contracts
- Ensure adherence to company policies and audit requirements
- Support billing and payment processes with accurate documentation

VIII) Key Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of Civil & interior materials, material specifications and Civil & Interior Site Work Contractors and Labours
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of BOQs, drawings, and material planning
- Ability to manage multiple categories and deadlines
- Analytical mindset with cost control focus
- Coordination and communication skills

IX) Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)
- 5–10 years of experience in material procurement & manpower sourcing for interior or construction projects
- Experience in turnkey interior fitouts is highly preferred
