Job Purpose
A Quality Control (QC) Manager in the real estate and construction industry supervises on-site building quality, enforces engineering standards, and ensures all structural and finishing works comply with approved designs and regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular quality checks on construction materials, structural work, and finishing stages.
- Standard Compliance: Ensure work adheres to local building codes, structural specifications, and ISO quality management systems.
- Defect Management: Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes, and enforce corrective or preventive actions with contractors.
- Documentation: Review method statements, material submittals, inspection test plans (ITP), and maintain quality records.
- Team Leadership:
Supervise site quality engineers and coordinate with project managers and external contractors.
Mandatory Candidate Profile:
Education & Experience
- MBA Degree: Must hold a full-time or recognized B.E. or B. Tech in Civil Engineering / master’s degree in construction management or quality management
- Industry Experience: 5 to 7 Years within Real Estate developer, constructions or property consultancy Firm as QA/QC Manager or Lead
Skills & Competencies
- Robust knowledge of construction materials, blue-print reading, root-cause analysis, and site safety regulations
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office
- BIM & Data Integration: Basic skills in cloud-based building information modelling tools (such as Autodesk Construction Cloud) to cross-verify structural metrics and review pass/fail trends.
- Reporting Dashboards: Ability to pull real-time analytics on pass/fail rates, rework costs, and pending defect resolutions.
