You will run the quarry store and keep an accurate, up-to-date record of everything that comes in and goes out: consumables, spares, fuel and tools.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, tally and store all incoming material against purchase orders and delivery challans; report shortages or damage on the same day
- Issue materials against a signed requisition, with the machine or job it is used for
- Maintain daily stock registers
- Manage the diesel register
- Issue and track PPE (helmets, shoes, gloves, goggles, ear protection)
- Do a weekly physical stock verification and a month-end stock reconciliation with book records
- Set minimum stock and reorder levels for critical spares, and raise timely indents
- Keep old parts and scrap organised, and record them before disposal
- Enter stock and issue data daily into Excel / Google Sheets, and share the weekly stock and diesel summary with management
- Keep the store clean,
organised, protected and secure, with proper storage of oils and flammable items
Preferred candidate profile
- 2 to 5 years' experience as a storekeeper in a mine, quarry, stone plant, construction site or heavy-equipment workshop (freshers with strong aptitude may be considered)
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets; basic Tally or accounting knowledge is a plus
- Ability to identify common machine spares and consumables
- Fluent Telugu; working Hindi or speaking English is required
- Honest, methodical and comfortable with numbers and record-keeping
- Willing to work at a remote quarry site; local candidates from Tekkali and surrounding areas preferred
