Shift Incharge ETP & MVR

Salary: 35,000 to 40,000 CTC per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shift Incharge ETP & MVR to manage and supervise the day-to-day operation of an industrial Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) system.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and uninterrupted plant operation, managing shift manpower, monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting operational issues and maintaining proper plant records.

Key Responsibilities

1. ETP & MVR Operations

- Supervise day-to-day ETP and MVR plant operations during the assigned shift.
- Ensure smooth operation of the complete wastewater treatment process.
- Monitor and control critical parameters such as pH, flow, conductivity, TDS, temperature, pressure, level and chemical dosing.
- Monitor MVR operating parameters including steam/vapour pressure, temperature, vacuum, feed flow and circulation.
- Ensure proper operation of pumps, blowers, agitators, filters, dosing systems, heat exchangers and other associated equipment.
- Monitor evaporation and concentration processes and ensure stable plant performance.
- Identify abnormalities in plant operation and take immediate corrective action.
- Ensure proper start-up and shutdown procedures for ETP and MVR equipment.

2. Shift & Manpower Management

- Lead and supervise operators and technicians working during the shift.
- Allocate manpower and responsibilities according to plant requirements.
- Monitor operator performance and ensure adherence to operating procedures.
- Conduct shift handover and communicate important operational issues to the incoming shift.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability for continuous plant operation.




- Guide operators on safe equipment operation and correct process practices.

3. Process Monitoring & Troubleshooting

- Monitor plant performance and identify process deviations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to ETP treatment, chemical dosing, pumps, blowers, filtration systems and MVR operation.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team during equipment breakdowns.
- Support preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Identify recurring operational problems and suggest corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure minimum downtime and maintain continuous plant availability.

4. Chemical Handling & Dosing

- Monitor and control chemical dosing as per process requirements.
- Ensure availability and proper storage of treatment chemicals.
- Maintain chemical consumption records.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and compliance with required safety procedures.
- Monitor dosing pumps and chemical preparation systems.

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain shift logbooks, ETP/MVR operating parameters and daily checklists.
- Prepare daily shift operation reports.
- Record equipment running hours, chemical consumption and process parameters.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, abnormalities and corrective actions.
- Prepare shift handover reports for smooth communication between teams.
- Report major operational issues to the Site Incharge/Plant Head.

6. Safety & Compliance





- Ensure safe working practices within the ETP and MVR plant.
- Strictly follow PPE, LOTO, chemical handling and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure operators follow SOPs and work instructions.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses immediately.
- Maintain good housekeeping within the plant area.
- Support environmental compliance and ensure proper operation of the treatment system.

7. Client & Site Coordination

- Coordinate with the client/site representative regarding daily plant operations.
- Address operational concerns raised by the client.
- Provide required operational data and reports.
- Support site management during inspections and audits.
- Coordinate with maintenance, laboratory and other site teams for smooth plant operation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in ETP / MVR / ZLD / wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of ETP and MVR systems.
- Experience in industrial wastewater treatment is preferred.
- Valuable understanding of pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing systems, filtration systems and heat exchangers.
- Knowledge of chemical dosing and wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience in shift handling and manpower supervision.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and maintain plant operating parameters and log sheets.
- Good communication and team-handling skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech / M.Sc. in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or relevant discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working as Shift Incharge / Shift Supervisor / Senior Operator / ETP Supervisor / MVR Operator with hands-on experience in industrial ETP and MVR operations will be preferred.
