REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

The Senior Incident Response Specialist plays a crucial role within the consulting sector, focusing on managing and mitigating cybersecurity threats. Based in Mumbai, this position involves leading end-to-end incident response investigations and ensuring the security and resilience of client systems.

Description

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in SOC operations, incident response, digital forensics, and threat hunting.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, proxies, identity systems, and cloud platform logs.
- Solid understanding of frameworks such as NIST, CERT-In, SANS, and methodologies including MITRE ATT&CK;, Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, networking, cloud security, and APIs.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and application security concepts.
- Ability to conduct cybersecurity risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Preferred certifications include CHFI, Microsoft SC-200 / SC-100, and understanding of ISO 27001 and ISO 31000 standards.





Key Responsibilities

- Conduct end-to-end incident response investigations, including triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Perform digital forensics across endpoints, servers, network devices, cloud platforms, and applications to identify and mitigate threats.
- Engage in threat hunting using intelligence-driven and hypothesis-based methodologies to proactively identify potential security incidents.
- Map threats and adversary activities to the MITRE ATT&CK; framework to enhance detection and response strategies.
- Develop and optimize SIEM use cases and detection rules to improve the organization's ability to detect and respond to threats.
- Conduct incident response readiness assessments and cyber resilience evaluations to ensure clients are prepared for potential attacks.
- Prepare detailed technical and executive-level reports to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to implement security best practices and enhance overall cybersecurity posture.
