The Role

As a Salesforce Developer, you will design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable Salesforce solutions that improve business processes, data quality, automation, reporting, and system integration across the enterprise. This role partners closely with business analysts, administrators, architects, QA resources, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions using Salesforce configuration, Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations, and disciplined DevOps practices. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality development work, following platform best practices, participating in code reviews, writing solid test coverage, supporting deployments, and helping ensure Salesforce remains reliable, extensible, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate has hands-on Salesforce development experience, strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of platform limits and security, and experience of working in an Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, customize, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Field Service, CPQ, or other Salesforce capabilities as needed.

- Develop custom functionality using Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, scheduled jobs, queueable Apex, invocable Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura components, Visualforce, and Salesforce automation tools where appropriate.

- Build scalable, maintainable solutions that follow Salesforce best practices for governor limits, transaction design, bulk processing, sharing and security, error handling, performance, and longterm supportability.

- Partner with business analysts, product owners, administrators, architects, QA resources, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs, development tasks, and delivery estimates.

- Design and maintain Salesforce data models, custom objects, fields, validation rules, record types, page layouts, flows, approval processes, permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, reports, and dashboards when required for solution delivery.

- Design, build, and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware, ETL tools, named credentials, connected apps, and secure authentication patterns.

- Write and maintain Apex test classes, unit tests, and test data patterns that support reliable deployments, strong code coverage, and transparent validation of expected business logic.

- Participate in code reviews,



design reviews, defect triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support activities to maintain high development quality and platform reliability.

- Support Salesforce DevOps practices, including source control, branching, pull requests, build validation, deployment sequencing, release readiness, change tracking, environment management, and CI/CD pipeline coordination.

- Collaborate with QA and business users during testing and UAT to investigate defects, validate fixes, clarify behavior, and ensure delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, integration details, data flow diagrams, configuration decisions, deployment notes, release impacts, and support handoff materials.

- Stay current on Salesforce releases, platform changes, deprecated features, security requirements, and development best practices, and recommend improvements that strengthen platform quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

- Education Experience:

o Minimum 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience supporting enterprise CRM, field operations, service operations, sales operations, or related business application environments.

o Strong experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce configuration, integrations, and DevOps practices.

o Experience working in Agile delivery teams with business analysts, product owners, administrators, architects, QA resources, project managers, and business stakeholders. oExperience working with distributed or remote teams, including collaboration with U.S.based stakeholders, offshore delivery resources, and cross-functional business partners.

- Technical Skills:

o Strong hands-on experience with Apex, triggers, classes, batch Apex, scheduled Apex, queueable Apex, test classes, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Aura components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.

o Strong understanding of Salesforce security and data access concepts, including profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, roles, sharing rules, organization-wide defaults, field-level security, record types, and object permissions.





o Experience with Salesforce automation and configuration, including flows, validation rules, approval processes, custom metadata, custom settings, objects, fields, page layouts, dynamic forms, reports, and dashboards.

o Experience designing and supporting integrations using REST, SOAP, platform events, middleware, ETL tools, connected apps, named credentials, OAuth, external services, and secure API patterns.

o Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools and practices such as Azure DevOps, Git, Salesforce DX, DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset, Flosum, change sets, CI/CD pipelines, pull requests, branching strategies, deployment validation, and release governance.

o Ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze debug logs, resolve defects, optimize automation and Apex performance, support data fixes, and identify root causes across Salesforce and integrated systems.

o Familiarity with Salesforce release cycles, platform limits, governor limits, integration limits, managed packages, sandbox management, metadata deployments, and application lifecycle management.

o Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Azure DevOps, Jira, Lucidchart, Visio, or similar tools for collaboration, documentation, sprint delivery, and technical communication.

- Soft Skills:

o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate requirements, identify technical options, and recommend practical solutions that balance business value, platform limits, complexity, and maintainability.

o Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences. o Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage assigned development work, follow through on defects and blockers, and deliver reliable solutions within sprint and release timelines.

o Collaborative working style with the ability to partner effectively with administrators, analysts, architects, QA, product owners, project managers, business users, security, compliance, and integration teams.
