Build automated quality systems for a distributed platform that can reason about and execute operational actions.
This is an engineering role, not a manual-testing role.
Responsibilities
- Build functional, integration, regression, contract, and end-to-end automation.
- Develop test harnesses for multi-service workflows.
- Build mocks and simulators for external systems.
- Generate synthetic incident and failure scenarios.
- Test connector and service behavior under dependency, permission, network, and data failures.
- Validate approval and execution boundaries.
- Build regression tests from production defects.
- Integrate automated quality gates into CI/CD.
- Work with AI engineers on evaluation of non-deterministic workflows.
Mandatory technical skills and experience
- 5+ years software test automation, quality engineering,
or software engineering with substantial testing ownership.
- Solid programming ability in Python, Java, TypeScript, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with:
- API test automation
- integration testing
- test harness development
- mocking and stubbing
- service virtualization
- synthetic test data
- Docker
- CI/CD integration
- SQL
- logs and traces
- Working Kubernetes knowledge sufficient to inspect pods, services, logs, events, and configuration.
- Experience testing distributed backend systems.
- Has built and maintained an automated regression framework.
