REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

The Threat Hunting Analyst position is a pivotal role within our consulting sector, focused on safeguarding organizational assets from potential cyber threats. Based in Mumbai, this role is tailored for individuals with 2-3 years of experience in security operations, threat hunting, or incident response.

Description

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Threat Hunting, SOC Operations, or Incident Response, consistent with a Level 2 role.
- Proficiency in using SIEM/EDR tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, QRadar, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK;, Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), and TTP-based hunting methodologies.
- Basic scripting/querying skills using KQL, SPL, or similar technologies to support threat analysis.
- Strong understanding of common attack vectors, network security, and endpoint security fundamentals.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts (excluding night shifts) to support 24/7 security operations.




- Effective written and verbal communication skills for exact reporting and incident response coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct proactive threat hunts using EDR, SIEM, and network telemetry based on hypothesis-driven and IOC/TTP-based approaches.
- Analyze logs, alerts, and telemetry to identify anomalous behavior and potential compromises.
- Correlate findings with the MITRE ATT&CK; framework to enhance threat detection strategies.
- Support the Incident Response (IR) team with initial triage, evidence gathering, and incident documentation.
- Escalate confirmed threats with actionable findings to senior analysts and IR leads.
- Consume and operationalize threat intelligence from internal and external sources to optimize threat detection efforts.
- Analyze SIEM logs and use cases, recommending corrective actions to improve security postures.
- Document hunt methodologies, findings, and closure reports, contributing to organizational knowledge and future threat hunting strategies.
