- Lead a team of 3-5 design/development engineers to develop parts from RFQ to SOP.
- Attending RFQs & processing them for fruitful outcome through proper techno-commercial analysis.
- Make or verify BOM, make or buy decision, RM selection, BOP selection.
- Thorough DFM & DFA of parts keeping in mind the tooling feasibility & feedback implementation in design.
- Getting the Moldflow analysis & CAE done through internal/external sources & feedback implementation in design.
- Conducting DV/PV & working to get the product through DVP successfully.
- GD&T; implementation.
- Conducting proper and fruitful DFMEA and implementing past learnings in product design & process.
- Attending part trials & analyzing the parts to conclude next steps.
- Maintain good relation within CFT for smooth product delivery.
- Developing team & ensuring their well being & growth.
- Customer interaction from RFQ to SOP & ensuring total customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring proper documentation for technical & non-technical aspects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR Diploma/Post-Diploma in Plastics mould technology/design or tool design/tool making from CIPET, NTTF, TRTC, CTDC
- 12-14 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/automotive workplace.
- Strong knowledge of core product design & development in automotive plastics parts.
- Hands-on experience with APQP and PPAP documentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and part analysis on CAD.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Why, 8D.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SAP and quality management systems
