COLT TRUCKING is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations. Experience with a trucking, transportation, logistics, or freight company is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P)

Record customer, factoring, and supplier payments

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

Process factoring remittances, factoring fees, and holdbacks/escrow

Track outstanding invoices and follow up on collections

Maintain accurate records of driver and owner-operator payments

Track fuel, repairs, tolls, insurance, and other trucking expensesReconcile fuel card statements and transactions

Maintain customer and vendor account balance

Prepare weekly/monthly financial and aging reports

Assist with HST/GST reporting and year-end accounting





Maintain organized supporting documents, receipts, PODs, invoices, and statements

Work closely with management and operations to resolve billing discrepancies

Requirements:

- Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience
- QuickBooks Online experience is required
- Strong understanding of A/R, A/P, bank reconciliation, and payment applications
- Good Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and transactions
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Experience with trucking or transportation accounting is a strong asset
- Experience with factoring companies and trucking settlements is preferred
