About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual and basic automation testing skills, and hands-on experience in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will understand healthcare workflows, compliance needs, and be able to design and execute test cases for web and API-based applications. Experience with Playwright for UI automation will be considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business and functional requirements for healthcare applications (e.g., provider portals, patient apps, claims, eligibility, EHR/EMR integrations)
- Design, write, and maintain transparent and traceable test cases, test scenarios, and test data aligned to requirements and user stories.
- Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing for web applications and APIs in agile sprints
- Log, track, and validate defects in the bug tracking tool with clear steps, screenshots, and impact analysis.
- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of cross-functional agile teams.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure testability.careers.
- Contribute to test planning, estimation, and test closure activities, including test summary reports.
- (Plus) Build and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) for critical regression suites.

- Ensure adherence to healthcare-specific quality, privacy, and compliance considerations (e.g., handling PHI, auditability, traceability).

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- 24 years of overall software testing experience (manual + some automation).
- Healthcare domain experience (at least 12 years) in areas such as:
- US/India healthcare, payer/provider systems, claims, eligibility, benefits, or EHR/EMR.testrigor+2
- Understanding of HIPAA / data privacy concepts and working with sensitive health data is preferred.

- Strong understanding of:

- SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, defect management, and test documentation.
- Test case design techniques (positive/negative, boundary, error guessing, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with:

- Writing and executing manual test cases for web applications.
- API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and basic validation of REST APIs.careers.

- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills; ability to work with US/UK stakeholders if needed.

Good-to-Have / Plus Skills

- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation (TypeScript/JavaScript), including:
- Writing stable locators, handling waits, parameterization, and basic framework usage.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Basic programming/scripting skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
- ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent QA certification.
- Experience with performance or security testing in healthcare applications is a bonus.

Educational Qualification

- BE / B.Tech / MCA / BCA / M.Sc (Computer Science / IT) or equivalent.
