- Implement and monitor the site HSE plan, safe work procedures and statutory safety requirements at the project site.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety induction of recent workmen and periodic safety training for staff and contract labour.
- Carry out site safety inspections, identify unsafe acts and conditions, issue observation reports and ensure closure within the agreed time.
- Operate the work permit system for hot work, work at height, confined space, lifting and excavation, and verify the conditions before issue.
- Ensure availability, proper use and replacement of PPE for all workmen, and maintain the PPE issue register.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe occurrences, prepare the investigation report with root cause and corrective action, and report to the client within the prescribed time.
- Maintain all HSE records inspection reports, permits, training records, equipment and lifting tool test certificates, fitness certificates of vehicles and operators.
- Conduct mock drills, maintain the emergency preparedness plan, first aid facility and fire-fighting arrangements at site.
- Prepare and submit daily,



weekly and monthly HSE reports and safety statistics (man-hours, LTI, frequency rate) to the Management and the client.
- Coordinate with the client's HSE department, attend safety meetings and audits, and comply with the client's HSE conditions.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma or Degree in any discipline with ADIS / PDIS (Advanced or Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) from a recognised institute. NEBOSH IGC will be an added advantage.
- 5 to 8 years of experience as HSE Officer / Safety Officer / HSE Manager in civil, infrastructure, port or plant construction projects.
- Working knowledge of the Factories Act, BOCW Act, and the client's HSE standards and permit-to-work system.
- Experience of handling client HSE audits and safety documentation independently.
- Good command of MS Office for reports and safety statistics; valid First Aid and Fire Fighting training preferred.
- Willing to be posted at the project site at Dhamra, Dist. Bhadrak, Odisha. Odia and Hindi speaking preferred.
