Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualification: B.E in Mechanical/Automobile Production Engineering

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in engine subsystem design and development & Preferred experience in design of : Crankcases, Engine covers, and Structural powertrain comp

Responsibilities

- 1. Design and develop crankcase, Transmission covers, and associated structural components from concept to production.
- 2. Create and release 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and engineering documentation using CATIA.
- 3. Perform simulation-driven design validation using CATIA CAE tools, including structural, modal, thermal, fatigue, and optimization studies.
- 4. Lead DFMEA, design reviews, tolerance analysis,



and engineering change management activities.
- 5. Investigate customer complaints, field issues, warranty concerns, and validation failures; identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions.
- 6. Drive Value Engineering (VE) and cost reduction initiatives through design, material, process
- 7. Develop and implement recent technologies, design methodologies, materials, and manufacturing concepts to improve performance, durability, weight, and cost.
- 8. Support prototype builds, testing, industrialization, and production readiness activities.
- 9. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, testing, sourcing, suppliers, service and program teams for successful project execution.
- Internal - Design, CAE, Testing & Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Vehicle Integration.
- External - Suppliers, Casting & Machining Vendors, Consultants, Technology Partners.
