Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and organized Content Manager to lead the Good Hindu project, focusing on storytelling for children as well as values lessons for adults. Reporting directly to the CEO and/or Chairman, you will use tools to create compelling, age-appropriate Hindu stories and coordinate with our internal IT, analysts, and writers to execute the content strategy. This role is ideal for a storyteller passionate about Hinduism, capable of making traditions accessible and fun for young audiences. Additionally we intend to launch content for adults to apply morals and values to their careers and personal lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Storytelling for Children: Develop engaging, child-friendly stories based on Hindu epics (e.g., Ramayana, Mahabharata), values (e.g., dharma, karma), and festivals (e.g., Diwali).



Use tools to brainstorm, draft, and refine narratives, ensuring they are interactive (e.g., with quizzes, activities) and suitable for ages 4-15.

Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal writers (for editing and supplemental content), IT (for website/app integration), analysts (for SEO and engagement data), and database managers (for user systems like email lists). Manage content calendar and align with the 12-month plan.

Pilgrimage Tourism Content: Create guides for temple visits and shrines (e.g., itineraries, family-friendly tips, spiritual insights) with storytelling elements to enhance appeal.

Monetization Support: Produce premium content (e.g., ebook series like Hindu Stories for Families), video scripts, and tourism descriptions to drive revenue via subscriptions, ebooks, and affiliates. Monitor performance and suggest improvements.

Content Execution: Oversee production of articles, YouTube videos (scripting, basic editing support), and ebooks. Encourage user-generated stories and moderate community features.

Quality Control: Ensure content is culturally sensitive, accurate, and appealing, working with the CEO and team to review outputs.



The content will also need to be differentiated for Indian audiences and western audiences.

Requirements:

Experience:

2-5 years in storytelling, content creation, or digital media, with a focus on child-focused narratives (e.g., stories, blogs, videos). Experience crafting educational or cultural content preferred, ideally with knowledge of Hinduism.

Skills:

Exceptional storytelling ability to simplify Hindu traditions for children and customize for each age group

Proficiency with AI tools for content generation and ideation.

Strong writing and editing skills in English (Hindi/Sanskrit a plus).

Basic SEO, content management (e.g., WordPress), and social media skills.

Project management to coordinate teams and meet deadlines.

Education: Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Literature, Education, Religious Studies, or related field.

Personal Attributes: Creative, culturally sensitive, organized, and collaborative. Passion for Hindu education and ability to work with minimal supervision.
