Job Responsibilities:

Cognitive Clinical Management

- Perform and document comprehensive medical history and physical examination of patients.
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis based on clinical findings, medical history and investigation results.
- Develop and document the initial plan of care in consultation with the treating Consultant.
- Review the patient's clinical condition and modify the daily plan of care based on clinical progress and response to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily progress notes and clinical documentation.
- Obtain and document informed consent for investigations, treatment and procedures.
- Initiate appropriate referrals to other specialties based on the patient's clinical condition.
- Order appropriate laboratory, radiological and other diagnostic investigations.
- Interpret hemodynamic parameters and monitor critically ill patients appropriately.
- Interpret relevant laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic investigation results and correlate them with the clinical condition.
- Assess the requirement for and order transfusion of blood and blood products as clinically indicated.
- Order appropriate medications, IV fluids, antibiotics and other treatment based on the patient's diagnosis and clinical condition.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive discharge summaries, including diagnosis, treatment provided, investigations, medications and follow-up instructions.
- Identify clinical deterioration and promptly escalate high-risk or critically ill patients to the Consultant/Critical Care team.

Clinical Non-Invasive Management

- Perform digital rectal examination when clinically indicated.




- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and initiate appropriate emergency management.
- Assess nutritional requirements and order or adjust appropriate artificial feeding modalities as clinically indicated.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, neurological status and other relevant clinical parameters.
- Provide appropriate non-invasive supportive management based on the patient's clinical condition.
- Recognize deterioration in critically ill patients and initiate timely escalation and intervention.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Critical Care, Dietetics and other multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management

Clinical Invasive Management

- Insert and manage central venous catheters as per clinical indication, competency and hospital credentialing.
- Perform oral endotracheal intubation in appropriate clinical or emergency situations as per competency and authorization.
- Perform nasogastric tube insertion and monitor its appropriate use.
- Perform urethral catheterization when clinically indicated.
- Monitor and manage invasive lines, tubes and catheters and identify procedure-related complications.
- Perform invasive procedures only within the scope of training, competency, credentialing and hospital privileges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all invasive procedures and patient outcomes.

Consultant Supervision

- All invasive procedures must be performed within the individual's approved competency, credentialing and hospital privileges.
- Complex, high-risk or clinically deteriorating patients must be promptly escalated to the Consultant.
