Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Manage end-to-end procurement of embedded boards, industrial computers, panel PCs, components, sub-assemblies and accessories from domestic and international (Taiwan, Singapore, China, US/EU) suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard and develop reliable vendors; maintain an approved-vendor list and drive dual-sourcing to reduce supply risk.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and warranties to achieve the best total cost of ownership.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, track order acknowledgements and deliveries, and resolve discrepancies in quantity, quality or pricing.
- Work closely with sales, engineering and project teams to forecast demand and align procurement with customer orders, project timelines and BOM requirements.
- Monitor component lifecycle, obsolescence and last-time-buy notices, and plan procurement accordingly for long-lifecycle / mission-critical products.

Logistics, Import/Export & Customs

- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics air, sea and courier for timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Manage import documentation, customs clearance, duties, HSN classification, and compliance with applicable import/export regulations and incentive schemes.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs house agents (CHA), couriers and transporters; negotiate freight rates and service levels.
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation – invoices, packing lists, e-way bills, Bills of Entry, certificates of origin and insurance.

Inventory, Warehouse & Dispatch

- Maintain optimal inventory levels using min/max and reorder planning; minimise stock-outs while controlling holding costs.
- Oversee goods receipt, inspection, storage, stock accuracy, cycle counts and periodic physical stock audits.
- Manage order picking, packing,



kitting and dispatch to ensure on-time delivery to customers and project sites across India.
- Coordinate RMA, returns, repairs and spares logistics in line with service-support SLAs.

Cost, Compliance & Reporting

- Drive cost-reduction initiatives, supplier consolidation and process improvements across the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with GST, statutory and company procurement policies; maintain complete and audit-ready records.
- Track and report key metrics – procurement savings, supplier on-time delivery, inventory turns, landed cost and order fulfilment accuracy.
- Maintain and improve procurement/logistics data in ERP / inventory systems.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field; a qualification in Supply Chain / Materials Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, PGDM-SCM) is a plus.
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in electronics, IT hardware, embedded systems or industrial products.
- Proven experience with international procurement and imports, including customs, Incoterms, freight and documentation.
- Strong negotiation, vendor-management and commercial acumen.
- Working knowledge of GST, import duties, e-way bills and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP / inventory management systems and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills; able to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering and finance.

Preferred / Valuable to Have

- Experience sourcing from Taiwan, China, Singapore, US or EU suppliers in the embedded / computing hardware space.
- Familiarity with electronic components, BOMs and component lifecycle management.
- Exposure to defence, aerospace, railway/metro or government tender (GeM) procurement and related compliance.

Experience setting up or improving procurement/logistics processes in a growing organisation.
