Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Accounts to independently lead and manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. The role will be responsible for end-to-end AR/AP operations, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, ageing analysis, month-end closing, MIS reporting and ensuring strong financial controls.
The candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations.
- Monitor customer outstanding, ageing and collection status.
- Drive timely collection of receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and accounting.
- Manage vendor invoices, payment processing and vendor ageing.
- Prepare and monitor vendor payment schedules as per agreed credit terms.
- Conduct regular customer and vendor ledger reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve billing, payment and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Monitor DSO, AR ageing and AP ageing and highlight critical issues to management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Operations and other departments for resolution of AR/AP issues.
- Ensure proper accounting of advances, accruals, provisions, credit notes and debit notes.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual month-end closing activities.
- Prepare AR/AP ageing, outstanding,



collection and payment reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, GST, TDS and applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and provide required schedules/documentation.
- Lead and supervise the AR/AP team, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and better working-capital management.

Candidate Profile

- MBA / PGDM in Finance from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong hands-on experience in AR & AP management.
- Experience in team handling/supervision will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, reconciliations and month-end closing.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, NetSuite, Dynamics or similar.
- Solid analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good follow-up, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
