Role & responsibilities:

- The Head of Marketplace will own the channel end-to-end topline growth, profitability, operations, and expansion running marketplaces as a self-contained P&L; with full accountability for revenue, margin, and working capital efficiency.
- Will be responsible for scaling existing accounts, launch new geographies, and build the team and processes to sustain that growth.
- Own the consolidated marketplace P&L-; revenue, contribution margin, ad spend, commissions, logistics, returns, and inventory costs with monthly reviews against the annual operating plan.
- Set channel-level pricing, discounting, and promotional architecture, balancing growth with margin and maintaining parity across D2C and marketplace channels.
- Own platform relationships end-to-end category managers, JBP negotiations, event participation (EORS, BBD, Prime Day, festive sales), and visibility/placement deals.
- Manage fulfillment model per platform (FBA, SJIT/PPMP, self-ship, cross-border 3PL) and keep operational health metrics fill rate, OTIF, ODR, seller ratings green across platforms.




- Build a weekly/monthly performance dashboard and present channel reviews to the CBO and founders; hire, manage, and develop the marketplace team and agency partners.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Strong experience of atleast 8+ years in Ecommerce domain, especially dealing with leading Marketplaces.
- Has independently run a marketplace P&L; of 100 Cr+ GMV/NSV, ideally in fashion, apparel, or an adjacent lifestyle category.
- Strong command of marketplace commercials: commission structures, ad spend/ACOS optimization, inventory planning and OTB (open-to-buy), returns and RTO management, and platform-specific pricing and promotion mechanics.
- Has built and/or managed a marketplace team, and can coordinate tightly across brand, supply chain, and finance functions to execute against shared targets.
- Has a demonstrable record of scaling a brand's marketplace business through category expansion, current platform launches, and account tiering/upgrades
