We are looking for an experienced Structural Fabricator with strong experience in the shipbuilding/marine industry. The candidate will be responsible for structural fabrication, welding, cutting, fitting, and repair activities while ensuring quality, safety, and timely execution of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure and mark metal plates, pipes, and other materials for cutting.
- Perform structural fabrication, fitting, cutting, tack welding, and steel repair activities.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in different positions.
- Use welding and fabrication techniques including TIG, MMA, oxy-torch cutting, grinding, and shaping.
- Align and clamp components using appropriate measuring tools.
- Operate angle grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Develop templates and fabrication jigs as required.
- Coordinate with fabricators, welders, engineers, designers, and shipbuilders for efficient production.
- Ensure fabrication and welding consumables are readily available.
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and work reports.
- Keep the supervisor informed about work progress, concerns, and requirements.

Required Skills





- 7 - 12 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding/marine fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, fitting, and metal-shaping techniques.
- Knowledge of welding specifications, codes, and symbols.
- Experience with welding equipment and procedures such as TIG and MMA.
- Ability to identify and resolve work-related issues.
- Good understanding of basic mathematics related to fabrication and welding.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prevent material wastage.

Safety & Quality Responsibilities

- Follow all company safety standards and established work practices.
- Use appropriate PPE, including face shields and gloves.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and protected for continued use.
- Comply with the company's HSE and Quality Management Systems.

Preferred Certifications

- CW Certified Welder.
- AWS Welding Certification or equivalent professional welding certification.
- Certification/training from IIW, ITI, or a similar recognized institution
