Position- Design Coordinator (BIM Expert) Data Center PMC Experience - 78 Years

Qualification- B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Architecture BIM-related certification/training (Mandatory).

Project- Data Center PMC Project Role Type- External / Design & BIM Coordination Preferred Experience

• Experience in Data Center / Mission Critical / High-Tech / Large Infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.

• Candidates with experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination involving Civil/Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and ELV systems will be preferred.

• Experience in the pre-construction/design development phase and transition from design to construction is desirable. Role Summary The Design Coordinator (BIM Expert) will be responsible for multidisciplinary design coordination, BIM model management, clash detection, constructability review and coordination between Client, Consultants, Contractors and PMC teams. The role will support the project from the planning and pre-construction stage through construction, ensuring that design information, BIM models and drawings are properly coordinated and aligned with project requirements, specifications and construction methodology. Key Responsibilities 1. BIM & Design Coordination

• Coordinate BIM models and design information across Civil/Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, ELV and other MEP disciplines.

• Review BIM models for design coordination, completeness, constructability and interface requirements.

• Establish and maintain BIM coordination workflows and model exchange protocols.

• Coordinate design inputs from various consultants and contractors.

• Ensure timely incorporation and closure of design comments. 2. Clash Detection & Resolution

• Conduct multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination reviews. • Identify hard clashes, soft clashes and access/maintenance conflicts.



• Prepare clash reports and coordinate with respective design disciplines for resolution.

• Track clash resolution status and ensure closure within agreed timelines.

• Review critical interfaces such as HVAC, electrical services, cable trays, piping, fire protection, structural elements, ceilings and architectural elements. 3. Design Review & Constructability

• Review drawings and BIM models from a constructability and site-execution perspective.

• Identify design gaps, inconsistencies and interface issues before construction.

• Identify long-lead design requirements and critical technical interfaces.

• Support coordination between design completion, procurement and construction activities. 5. Drawing & Model Management

• Review and coordinate IFC drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings and BIM models.

• Ensure consistency between approved drawings and BIM models.

• Monitor design re

visions and ensure the latest approved information is being used.

• Coordinate drawing/model updates resulting from RFIs, design changes and site requirements.

• Review spatial requirements for critical MEP systems, equipment rooms, electrical rooms, UPS areas, battery rooms, plant rooms and other technical spaces.

• Coordinate equipment clearances, access, maintenance zones and service routes.

• Support coordination of critical systems such as HVAC, chilled water, electrical distribution, UPS, DG, fire protection, ELV, BMS and associated infrastructure. 8. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain BIM coordination reports,



clash reports and design issue trackers.

• Prepare periodic status reports covering: o Design deliverables o BIM coordination status o Clash status o Pending design issues o Drawing approvals o Critical interfaces o Design-related project risks

• Escalate critical unresolved design issues to the Project Director. Software / Technical Skills Mandatory / Strong Working Knowledge: • Autodesk Revit

• Navisworks Manage • AutoCAD Page 3 of 3 • BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or equivalent CDE platform

• MS Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of:

• BIM coordination and clash detection

• Multidisciplinary model federation

• Drawing and revision management

• Design coordination workflows

• RFI and technical submittal processes

• Constructability review Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have 78 years of experience in BIM and multidisciplinary design coordination, with the ability to work across Civil/Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines. The candidate should be capable of independently managing BIM coordination, clash detection, design interface issues and coordination meetings, rather than being limited to BIM modelling activities alone. Data Center / Mission Critical project experience is strongly preferred, particularly candidates who have worked on large-scale projects involving complex MEP systems and high levels of multidisciplinary coordination.
