Role & responsibilities

1. Plant Accounting & Reporting

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Review plant TB, and key financial KPIs.
- Ensure proper accounting of production, inventory, overheads, and capital expenditure.
- Track actual performance against budget and explain major variances.
- Timely Bill Booking & Vendor Payments
- Work closely with Plant Head, Production, ME, Supply Chain and Maintenance teams.

2. Costing & Cost Control

- Monitor product, process, and manufacturing costs.
- Analyse material, labour, power, overhead, and conversion costs.
- Identify cost variances and drive corrective actions with plant operations.
- Support productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.

3. Inventory Working Capital

- Monitor inventory levels, inventory valuation,



slow-moving/obsolete stock, and provisions.
- Drive working-capital optimization.
- Review receivables, payables, inventory days, and cash-flow requirements.

4. CAPEX & Fixed Assets

- Track project spending against approved budgets.
- Ensure proper capitalization, asset accounting, depreciation, and physical verification.

5. Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate internal, statutory, tax, and other audits.
- Preparation of Cost Audit Data

Preferred candidate profile

CA / CMA

5 years of relevant experience in plant/manufacturing finance.

Experience with SAP system is preferred
