Job Summary

We are looking for a Trade Finance Techno Functional Consultant with in-depth knowledge of Commodity and Trade Finance and a strong understanding of banking processes, risk, and compliance.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on functional knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC), Documentary Collections, Guarantees, Collaterals, Loans, and Commissions, along with a techno-functional mindset and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements that best reflect customer needs.
- Prepare and review BRDs, FSDs, User Stories, functional specifications, and solution documents.
- Work closely with business, operations, IT, and customer stakeholders for requirement analysis.
- Advise customers on product capabilities, industry best practices, and solution reuse where applicable.
- Design holistic and integrated high-level solutions aligned with business requirements, production operability, and budget.
- Participate in and/or lead formal and informal solution reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide functional and technical perspectives during solution discussions.
- Communicate proposed solutions effectively to customers' business and IT teams.
- Explain new solution features, processes, and their impact on existing business workflows.
- Ensure that customers have a clear understanding of the proposed solution.
- Track and close open questions, dependencies, and action items with relevant stakeholders.
- Support customers during the scoping phase through solution finalization and customer sign-off.
- Prepare solution-related documents, functional specifications, and other project documentation.
- Configure solutions based on business requirements, where applicable.
- Create, execute,



and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
- Support functional testing, UAT, and issue resolution activities.
- Support the resolution of configuration and implementation-related issues during project execution.
- Collaborate with development and implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.

Required Skills

- In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance / Commodity Finance.
- Strong understanding of:
- Letter of Credit (LC)
- Documentary Collections
- Bank Guarantees
- Collaterals
- Trade Finance Loans
- Commissions

- Good knowledge of Banking Risk and Compliance processes.
- Good understanding of Sanction Screening processes, including:

- OFAC
- UN Sanctions
- Local Sanctions

- Positive understanding of Trade Finance SWIFT Messages.
- Knowledge of RBI I/EDPMS (Import/Export Documentary Processing Management System) will be an added advantage.
- Strong functional and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
- Strong techno-functional attitude and mindset.

Educational Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science or related field
- BCA / MCA
- Or any relevant educational qualification.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with experience in Banking, Trade Finance, FinTech, or Financial Services will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable interacting with business users, operations teams, customers, and technical teams.
- Should have strong problem-solving, requirement-gathering, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a project environment.
