About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – People Care & Development to lead and manage end-to-end HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle. The role is responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, payroll governance, HR operations, and compliance while fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.

The ideal candidate should possess strong HR generalist experience and a sound understanding of labour laws, employee relations, and people development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

- Partner with business leaders to identify manpower requirements and develop workforce plans.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Assess candidates for technical competencies, behavioural skills, and cultural fitment.
- Build and maintain recruitment pipelines through recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional networks.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs, hiring timelines, and quality of hire to ensure efficient talent acquisition.

Compensation, Benefits & Performance Management

- Review payroll inputs and ensure accurate processing of salaries, incentives, reimbursements, statutory deductions, and full & final settlements.
- Ensure compliance of compensation structures with applicable wage regulations.
- Administer employee benefits including Provident Fund, Gratuity, Insurance, Leave Management,



and other welfare schemes.
- Coordinate and drive the annual performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, and appraisals.

Employee Engagement & Culture Building

- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and cultural events.
- Develop and implement annual engagement calendars to enhance employee satisfaction and motivation.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being initiatives across the organisation.
- Foster a team-oriented and employee-centric work environment.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit.
- Ensure seamless execution of induction, confirmation, transfer, promotion, and separation processes.
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Prepare and issue appointment letters, employment contracts, policy updates, and other employee communications.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with business objectives and statutory requirements.

Compliance & Employee Relations

- Ensure adherence to applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and HR compliance standards.




- Maintain statutory records and documentation as per legal requirements.
- Address employee concerns and support resolution of workplace issues.
- Assist in maintaining healthy employee relations and workplace discipline.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management.
- Expertise in Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning.
- Understanding of Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Administration.
- Knowledge of Labour Laws and Statutory Compliance.
- Experience in Employee Engagement and Culture Building.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in HRMS, MS Office, and digital tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Mandatory)
- Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field (Preferred)

Experience

- 5 to 7 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Exposure to HR Generalist responsibilities including recruitment, employee engagement, payroll coordination, compliance, and HR operations.
