Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Prompt Engineer with 5+ years of overall experience and deep expertise in designing, optimizing, and evaluating prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable, and high-quality Generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize high-quality prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama) across multiple use cases
- Engineer prompt strategies including few-shot, chain-of-thought, role-based, and structured prompting
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate prompts into RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
- Fine-tune and evaluate prompt performance based on accuracy, relevance, hallucination reduction, and token efficiency
- Develop prompt versions for multi-turn conversations and agent-based workflows
- Create reusable prompt templates and prompt libraries for enterprise use
- Perform prompt evaluation using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Work with domain experts (BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, etc.) to align prompts to business context
- Ensure prompts adhere to responsible AI, data privacy, and security standards
- Document prompt design principles, testing results, and best practices
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and prompt engineering techniques

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

- 5+ years of experience in AI, NLP, ML, or related fields
- Strong hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering for LLMs
- Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI,



Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, transformers, embeddings, and tokenization
- Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with LangChain / LlamaIndex / Semantic Kernel
- Knowledge of prompt evaluation frameworks and hallucination mitigation techniques

Domain & Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective prompt designs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Stakeholder management and collaboration skills

Good to Have

- Experience in BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, or Enterprise SaaS domains
- Exposure to AI agents, tools/function calling, and workflow orchestration
- Understanding of LLM fine-tuning and parameter-effective training (LoRA, adapters)
- Experience with multi-modal models (text, image, audio)
- Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks and compliance standards

Education

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
