Job Description Purchase Manager
Industry: Steel Pipe Manufacturing
Location: Delhi
Experience: 10-20 years
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
- Maintain robust relationships with existing suppliers.
- Conduct supplier negotiations regarding price, payment terms, credit period, quality, delivery schedules, freight, and other commercial terms.
- Monitor supplier performance relating to quality, delivery, service, and cost.
- Establish alternate suppliers for critical materials to reduce supply risk.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Sales, Finance, and Management to determine procurement requirements.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for critical raw materials, consumables, and spares.
- Avoid both stock-outs and excessive inventory.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
- Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers.
