Job Title: Credit Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team. The
candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial and credit analysis of
companies, assessing creditworthiness and financial risk, and supporting informed credit
and financing decisions.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of financial statements, credit
assessment methodologies, financial ratios, industry analysis, and risk evaluation, along with
the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive credit and financial analysis of prospective and existing clients.
* Analyse balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, financial
projections, and other relevant financial information.
* Evaluate key financial metrics, including liquidity, profitability, leverage, solvency, and
debt-servicing capacity.
* Assess the overall *creditworthiness and financial health* of companies and identify
potential credit risks.
* Conduct industry, sector, peer, and comparable-company analysis to support credit
assessments.
* Review business models, company performance, management information, and other
qualitative factors relevant to credit evaluation.
* Analyse historical financial performance and assess the reasonableness of financial
projections and assumptions.
* Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports, financial analysis reports, risk assessment
reports, and credit recommendations.
* Identify key risk factors and recommend appropriate risk-mitigation measures.
* Support the evaluation of financing proposals, debt requirements, and related financial
transactions.
* Conduct due diligence and review relevant financial and business documentation.




* Monitor existing exposures and identify emerging financial or credit-related risks.
* Maintain accurate and well-documented records of credit assessments and analysis.
* Coordinate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to obtain information required for
credit evaluation.

* Stay updated on relevant financial markets, economic conditions, industry
developments, and regulatory changes that may impact credit decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in *Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration*,or a
related discipline.
* *23 years of relevant skilled experience* in Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis,
Corporate Finance, Banking, NBFC, Financial Services, or a related domain.
* Strong understanding of *financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment*.
* Proficiency in analysing financial ratios and evaluating a company's financial position.
* Strong knowledge of *Excel and financial modelling*.
* Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and assess financial risks.
* Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prepare structured, professional, and data-driven reports.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in *credit underwriting, debt analysis, corporate lending, or financial advisory*.
* Familiarity with credit rating methodologies and credit appraisal frameworks.
* Understanding of industry benchmarking and comparable-company analysis.
* Exposure to financial modelling and analysis of projected financial statements.
* Knowledge of Indian financial markets and the corporate finance ecosystem will be an
advantage.
