About the Role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) / Technical Implementation Consultant to support customer-facing Nextcloud implementation and integration projects.

This is a hands-on role combining business requirement analysis, solution design, technical implementation, system integration, migration, troubleshooting, and customer support. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and support solution design.
- Install, configure, customize, and troubleshoot Nextcloud environments.
- Support Nextcloud features including Files, Talk, Groupware, Office, workflows, permissions, and external storage.
- Work with Linux, Apache/Nginx, PHP, PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, storage, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and containers.
- l Implement integrations using REST APIs, WebDAV, OCS APIs, SSO, LDAP, SAML, OAuth/OIDC, and other enterprise systems. Support data migration from platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, file servers, and existing Nextcloud environments.
- Develop lightweight scripts and automation using PHP, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, API, authentication, and integration issues.
- Support testing, deployment, go-live, hypercare, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in technical demonstrations and Proof of Concepts when required.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience in technical consulting,



system implementation, software development, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, system integration, or a related technical role.
- Experience with customer-facing technical implementation projects.
- Strong Linux and web application knowledge.
- Experience with APIs, system integration, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience with at least one scripting/programming language such as PHP, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of databases, networking, storage, DNS, SSL/TLS, backup, and security.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable written and spoken English.
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on Nextcloud experience.
- Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID, SSO, Docker, or cloud platforms.
- Experience with migration, high availability, backup/DR, security, or enterprise IT environments.
- Relevant certifications in Linux, Cloud, Microsoft, Security, DevOps, or ITIL are a plus.
