Job Summary

As a Public Policy Fellow, you will support research, stakeholder engagement and project coordination with public institutions. You will learn how policy ideas move from research and consultation into practical programmes and partnerships.

Responsibilities

- Research government priorities, public policies, institutions and regulatory frameworks to understand how systems work.
- Map stakeholders and identify promising partnerships, datasets and public-interest opportunities.
- Develop compelling proposals, grant applications, concept notes and partnership materials.
- Write blogs, policy briefs, research reports, case studies and other public-facing content.
- Turn meetings and research into transparent presentations, recommendations and actionable next steps.
- Help plan and facilitate workshops, consultations, field visits and stakeholder meetings.
- Work closely with internal teams, government officials and external partners to move projects forward.
- Contribute fresh ideas to our work on data governance, responsible AI, digital public infrastructure and related policy themes.

Who Should Apply

recent graduates and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience.
- Graduates in public policy, political science, development studies, economics, law, social sciences, management, technology or a related field.
- People who can research carefully, ask good questions and turn complex information into clear writing.
- Candidates who are dependable, organised and comfortable following through on detailed work.
- Applicants willing to work in a hybrid setting and join field visits, government meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Useful but Not Required: Exposure to government or development-sector work, stakeholder consultations, public datasets, Excel or Google Sheets, data visualisation, Python or SQL, responsible AI, or digital public infrastructure.
