Job Summary:

Sutherland is looking for experienced R2R professionals with strong expertise in end-to-end Record-to-Report processes and US accounting operations. The role will involve month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, reporting, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end R2R and month-end close activities within defined timelines.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and perform necessary validations.
- Perform account reconciliations, including GL, bank and intercompany accounts.
- Handle Fixed Assets and General Ledger activities, including master data maintenance.
- Analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies and aged items.
- Support standard costing, inventory-related accounting, provisions and financial reporting.
- Prepare cost analysis and reports comparing standard and actual costs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial close activities.
- Handle customer queries and periodic/ad-hoc reporting requirements.




- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Follow SOPs, controls and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and other stakeholders to resolve open issues and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain MEC/activity checklists and ensure all close activities are completed on time.

Candidate Requirements:

- 5+ years of direct end-to-end R2R experience is mandatory.
- Strong US accounting experience is required; domestic accounting experience alone is not preferred.
- Candidates from the US retail industry will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, Account Reconciliation, Intercompany and Reporting.
- Valuable understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Graduate degree is mandatory.
