Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from enterprise security tools.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security threats.
- Perform security event analysis and determine the severity and impact of incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Analyze logs from SIEM, firewalls, endpoints, servers, and network devices.
- Perform threat analysis, IOC investigation, and basic threat-hunting activities.
- Work with SOC teams to investigate and resolve security incidents.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor endpoint security using EDR/XDR solutions.
- Support network security operations involving firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and related technologies.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.
- Support cloud security activities across AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for security incidents and document findings.
- Prepare security reports, incident reports, and vulnerability remediation reports.
- Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, and security improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application, cloud, and IT teams.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and security technologies.
Mandatory Skills
- 36 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security / SOC.
- Strong experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in Security Incident Response and Investigation.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts.
- Positive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS.
- Experience with Vulnerability Management and Remediation.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux security.
- Understanding of common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, brute-force attacks, and privilege escalation.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK;, IOC analysis, and threat intelligence.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with EDR/XDR tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, or similar.
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts in AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or PCI DSS.
- Experience with threat hunting and security automation.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, SC-200, AZ-500, or CISSP.
