1. New Product Sample Validation

- Ensure recent product and component sample validation as per the approved NPD plan and quality requirements.
- Drive First Time Right” quality for all new components and products.
- Ensure validation timelines are defined and achieved based on the nature, complexity, and criticality of the component.
- Ensure complete functional, dimensional, performance, and safety fitness of Finished Goods (FG) before approval.
- Coordinate with NPD, Engineering, Production, Purchase, and suppliers to resolve development-stage quality issues.

2. Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Effectiveness

- Improve the effectiveness of IQC for BO and FFM materials/components.
- Establish and maintain inspection standards, specifications, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure effective identification and containment of incoming quality defects.
- Monitor incoming rejection trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce line stoppages, rework, rejection, and quality issues attributable to incoming materials.

3. Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Effectiveness

- Improve the effectiveness of PDI activities at Ludhiana and Kalpana locations.
- Ensure PDI is carried out as per approved quality standards, specifications, and inspection checklists.
- Strengthen inspection controls to ensure products are fully fit before dispatch.
- Analyze PDI rejection and defect trends and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure consistency of PDI processes and quality standards across locations.

4. Gauge Planning & Control

- Develop and implement a systematic gauge planning and control process for:
- Traded equipment
- In-house manufactured products
- Supplier-manufactured components





- Identify gauge and measuring instrument requirements based on product and process characteristics.
- Ensure gauges are properly identified, calibrated, verified, maintained, and traceable.
- Ensure timely availability of gauges for new product development and production requirements.
- Prevent the use of expired, damaged, or unverified measuring instruments.

5. Supplier Laboratory Test Plan & Compliance

- Develop and implement supplier laboratory testing plans based on material, product, and quality requirements.
- Define testing parameters, frequency, test methods, acceptance criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to the approved laboratory testing plan.
- Review supplier test reports and ensure timely submission and traceability of test results.
- Identify deviations in testing and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

6. Supplier Quality System & Audit

- Establish and strengthen the Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS).
- Develop supplier audit standards, checklists, scoring criteria, and quality requirements.
- Conduct or coordinate supplier quality system, process, and product audits.
- Identify gaps in supplier quality systems and ensure timely CAPA closure.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.
- Ensure suppliers have effective systems for process control, inspection, testing, calibration, traceability, and documentation.

7. Quality Improvement & Continuous Improvement

- Analyze quality data from NPD, IQC, PDI, suppliers, and customer complaints to identify recurring issues.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action, and Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Establish measurable quality improvement targets and monitor performance.
- Promote a “Quality First Time Right” culture across internal and supplier operations.
