We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer / Technical Lead with strong experience in Python, Django, asynchronous programming, cloud-native development, containerization, and DevOps.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing Python-based applications for edge devices, along with expertise in device security, PKI, mTLS, secure boot, OTA updates, and device lifecycle management.

The role requires a combination of hands-on development, technical leadership, system design, and end-to-end ownership of backend and edge-device solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django / Django REST Framework.
- Develop high-performance applications using asynchronous programming, including asyncio, async/await, aiohttp, and FastAPI.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Develop Python-based applications and services for edge devices such as Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, and ARM-based systems.
- Build and optimize device-side services for data collection, preprocessing, and communication.
- Develop containerized applications using Docker for edge deployments.
- Design scalable and distributed systems for cloud and edge environments.
- Implement and maintain Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools.
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices for quality, security, and testing.
- Work closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.

Security & PKI

- Strong expertise in TLS certificate validation.
- Experience with Public/Private Key generation and application signature verification.
- Hands-on experience implementing Mutual TLS (mTLS) communication between client and server systems.
- Experience with client-side PKI and application security.




- Understanding of secure boot and secure edge-device deployment mechanisms.

Edge Device Lifecycle & OTA

- Hands-on experience with atomic and full system updates, including kernel upgrades.
- Experience designing and implementing A/B partitioning strategies integrated with secure boot.
- Experience with reliable and fail-safe device update mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience implementing Over-The-Air (OTA) update frameworks for edge devices.
- Experience with open-source OTA platforms such as Mender.
- Experience with package version control and inventory management across distributed edge environments.
- Experience managing the complete edge device lifecycle.

Cloud & DevOps

- Strong experience with Docker and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
- Strong experience creating and deploying Helm charts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Experience working with AWS / Azure / GCP environments.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python backend development.
- Extensive experience with Django / Django REST Framework.
- Strong hands-on experience with asynchronous Python programming.
- Experience with asyncio / aiohttp / FastAPI or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with CI/CD and cloud environments.
- Experience in system design and scalable distributed systems.




- Hands-on experience with edge-device software development.
- Experience with Linux and ARM-based systems.
- Strong knowledge of TLS, PKI, mTLS, public/private keys, and secure boot.
- Experience with OTA updates and device management.
- Experience with Mender or similar OTA platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Raspberry Pi / NVIDIA Jetson / ARM-based edge devices.
- Experience with Mender or similar device management platforms.
- Experience with Prometheus / Grafana / ELK.
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead or in a technical leadership role.
- Experience working on IoT, Edge Computing, or connected-device platforms.
