Role & responsibilities

- Supervise and manage daily softscape landscaping activities at project sites in Visakhapatnam (Vizag).
- Execute softscape works as per approved landscape drawings, project specifications, and instructions from the Project Manager.
- Supervise the planting of trees, palms, shrubs, flowering plants, groundcovers, hedges, and lawns.
- Ensure proper plant selection, placement, spacing, planting depth, and installation as per landscape design requirements.
- Manage soil preparation activities, including soil filling, leveling, mixing of manure, compost, fertilizers, and soil amendments.
- Supervise plant transplantation, tree planting, root ball handling, staking, and plant establishment activities.
- Coordinate with nursery teams and ensure timely transportation and delivery of plants to project sites.
- Monitor plant health, growth, watering requirements, and survival rates after planting.
- Supervise irrigation activities, including manual watering, drip irrigation, sprinklers, and irrigation system coordination.
- Manage daily manpower allocation and supervise gardeners, laborers, and landscaping workers at the site.
- Prepare daily work schedules and distribute tasks according to project priorities and site requirements.
- Ensure proper execution of lawn installation, turf laying, grass planting, pruning, hedging, and other softscape maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, progress, and compliance with approved landscaping plans.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Landscape Architects, Site Engineers, Nursery Teams, and Procurement Teams.
- Check the availability of plants, soil, manure, fertilizers, tools, irrigation materials, and other required resources.
- Identify plant stress, pest infestations, diseases, irrigation issues, and other plant health concerns, and report them to the concerned team.
- Ensure proper handling, unloading, storage, and protection of plants and landscaping materials at the site.
- Maintain daily records of manpower attendance, work progress, plant quantities, material usage,



and site activities.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and communicate project updates to management.
- Ensure workers follow safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain cleanliness at the project site.
- Coordinate with clients and site representatives when required to address landscaping-related requirements and concerns.
- Monitor plant survival and coordinate replacement of damaged, dead, or unhealthy plants as per project requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned softscape activities according to project schedules and quality standards.
- Support long-term landscape maintenance activities, including watering, pruning, weeding, fertilization, and plant care.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, Landscaping, or a related field will be preferred.
- Candidates from Fresher to Experienced backgrounds are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with experience in softscape landscaping, nursery operations, plant maintenance, or landscape execution will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plant identification, planting techniques, soil preparation, irrigation, lawn maintenance, and plant care.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate daily landscaping activities and site manpower.
- Valuable communication, teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at the Visakhapatnam (Vizag) project location.
- Candidates must be willing to commit to working continuously at the Vizag location for a minimum period of 12 years. Candidates should be prepared to complete the agreed employment commitment and avoid leaving the project midway without proper notice and handover.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and handle site-based landscaping activities.
- Ability to follow instructions from Project Managers, Landscape Architects, and senior supervisors.
- Responsible, disciplined, punctual, and committed to completing assigned project responsibilities.
