Role & responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for landscaping projects, including hardscape and softscape works.
- Analyze approved landscape drawings, architectural plans, structural drawings, and project specifications to determine material and labor quantities.
- Prepare estimates and cost calculations for hardscape works, including paving, pathways, kerbs, retaining walls, steps, decks, pergolas, water features, and other landscape structures.
- Prepare quantity estimates for softscape works, including plants, trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers, lawns, soil preparation, manure, fertilizers, and irrigation-related requirements.
- Conduct detailed material quantity calculations based on drawings, site measurements, and project specifications.
- Prepare project cost estimates, rate analysis, and detailed quantity statements for tendering and execution.
- Coordinate with Landscape Architects, Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Execution Teams to verify quantities and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and measurements to assess existing conditions, work progress, and actual quantities executed.
- Prepare interim payment applications, client bills, subcontractor bills, and work completion measurements.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills against approved BOQs, drawings, specifications, and actual site execution.
- Track project quantities, variations, additional works, and deviations from the approved scope.
- Prepare and maintain variation statements, extra item calculations, and rate analysis for additional or modified works.
- Support the preparation of tender documents, quotations, comparative statements, and subcontractor evaluations.




- Coordinate with the Procurement and Accounts teams to monitor material costs, purchase rates, and project budgets.
- Monitor project expenses and assist in cost control and budget management throughout project execution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quantity progress reports and cost-related MIS reports.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, BOQs, measurements, bills, variations, and project documentation.
- Ensure all quantity calculations and billing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Identify discrepancies in quantities, drawings, and site execution, and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Assist in project final accounts, reconciliation of quantities, and preparation of final bills.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.




- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Billing, or Cost Control.
- Candidates with experience in landscaping, hardscape, softscape, horticulture, construction, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, rate analysis, and project billing.
- Practical experience in estimating quantities for hardscape works such as paving, kerbs, concrete works, retaining walls, pathways, and other landscape structures.
- Knowledge of softscape estimation, including trees, palms, shrubs, lawns, soil preparation, planting, and irrigation-related works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation / billing software.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Experience in site measurements, interim bills, subcontractor bills, variation statements, and final accounts.
- Strong understanding of material quantities, labor costing, project budgets, and cost control.
- Good coordination skills with Landscape Architects, Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, and execution teams.
- Strong analytical, numerical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify quantity discrepancies, verify executed work, and ensure accurate project billing.
- Willingness to visit project sites for measurements, quantity verification, and progress assessment.
- Should be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Positive communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
