Job Description

Position: Jr. Engineer Production Assembly (SEC/Key Set)
Department: Production – Assembly
Location: Tokai Rika Minda India Pvt. Ltd.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / TTT (Toyota Technical Training) preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in production/assembly.
- Experience in assembly-line operations and Japanese manufacturing systems preferred.
- Candidates with experience in Japan-based manufacturing companies preferred, excluding Toyota Group companies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Manpower Management

- Allocate manpower within the production group and monitor daily production activities.
- Communicate effectively between associates, Team Leaders and shifts.
- Monitor production Kanban and ensure achievement of daily production targets.
- Monitor team efficiency and inline productivity.
- Manage overtime and maintain attendance records.
- Manage consumable stock and ensure availability for production.

2. New Project & Customer Requirements

- Handle new projects and prepare project schedules.
- Prepare and explain project schedules to management.
- Ensure project-related parts are dispatched to customers and TRJ as per target dates.
- Coordinate with suppliers for project-related requirements.
- Develop and maintain packing specifications.

3. Quality & Process Control

- Possess basic knowledge of LVPT, HVPT and MPT.
- Confirm First Part and Last Part quality inspections.
- Ensure defects are updated in the in-process defect chart.
- Support abnormality handling and corrective actions.




- Ensure standardized work is followed on the shop floor.
- Manage change points effectively.

4. Safety, 2S & Shopfloor Management

- Ensure compliance with shopfloor rules and standardized work.
- Communicate and reinforce safety rules among associates.
- Confirm daily machine inspections.
- Maintain proper 2S conditions within the production group.
- Monitor the health and working condition of associates.

5. Kanban & Production Control

- Set Kanban at the planning post.
- Monitor production progress against Kanban requirements.
- Ensure production targets and customer delivery schedules are achieved.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of MS Office/Microsoft applications.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Robust knowledge of assembly-line operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
- Knowledge of Japanese manufacturing concepts is an added advantage.
- Good team coordination and problem-solving ability.

Candidate Screening Criteria

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Should be willing to work in shifts.
- Should possess working knowledge of MS Office.
- Assembly-line/production experience is preferred.
- Candidates from Toyota Group companies should not be considered.
