Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with 4-6 years of experience to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The role involves collaborating with development and QA teams to identify defects, optimize testing processes, and enhance product performance. Candidates should be proficient in automation tools and scripting languages, with a focus on delivering scalable, efficient test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
2. Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
3. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
4. Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
5. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
6. Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.

Optimize test automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
8. Analyze test results, provide detailed reports, and recommend improvements.
9. Mentor junior testers and contribute to best practices for test automation.
10. Stay updated on testing trends and tools to enhance QA processes.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 4-6 years of experience in automation testing or quality assurance roles.
3. Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, or TestNG).
4. Robust scripting skills in languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
5. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
6. Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
7. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
8. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying defects.
10. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium Certification) are a plus.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack).
2. Knowledge of containerized testing (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Familiarity with testing frameworks for mobile or web applications.
4. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
