Job Title: Python Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Python Backend Engineer who can take ownership of designing and developing scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, cloud architecture using AWS, and leading backend teams in delivering robust and high-performance applications. This role will also require hands-on coding, architecture planning, and mentoring team members.

- 8-15 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development
- Strong experience with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworksRESTful API design with OpenAPI/Swagger
- Backend architecture, microservices, and distributed systemsRelational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL
- Containerized application development using Docker
- Strong debugging,troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience building internal platforms, developer platforms, API platforms, or reusable backend services
- Experience with Azure Container Apps and/or Azure Blob Storage




Hands-on experience with Redis
- Experience with Terraform
- CI/CD experience with GitLab pipelines
- Experience with event-driven architecture and message queues
- Experience with async Python patterns such as asyncio
- Observability and monitoring experience, preferably Datadog

Key Technical Skills

Backend Engineering & Python

- Advanced Python development experience for production-grade backend systems
- Robust experience with FastAPI
- Familiarity with similar Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger
- Experience with async programming patterns using asyncio, async FastAPI, or
- similar libraries
- Strong understanding of request lifecycle, middleware, dependency injection,
- authentication flows, and error handling
- Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, data
- structures, and algorithms
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
