- Execute approved manpower plans based on production requirements.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for permanent employees, trainees, apprentices and contract workforce.
- Coordinate onboarding and deployment of new employees.
- Build local talent pipelines through ITIs, vocational institutes, apprenticeship programmes and recruitment partners.
- Support manpower planning for capacity expansion and changing business requirements.
2. Employee Relations
- Build and maintain a positive and disciplined work environment.
- Address employee grievances and workplace concerns in a timely manner.
- Handle disciplinary matters and domestic enquiries in line with company policies.
- Monitor absenteeism, attrition and employee morale, and recommend appropriate interventions.
3. Statutory Compliance & Contract Labour Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, factory regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, licences and returns.
- Manage contractor deployment and monitor statutory compliance.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, audits and closure of compliance observations.
- Liaise with statutory authorities whenever required.
4. Performance & Capability Development
- Coordinate the performance management process for plant employees.
- Identify learning needs and coordinate technical, behavioural and supervisory training programmes.
- Ensure effective induction and integration of recent employees.
- Support capability building initiatives across the plant.
5. Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement, communication and recognition initiatives.
- Support employee welfare programmes and activities that improve workplace culture.
- Monitor employee feedback and recommend actions to improve engagement and retention.
6. Business Partnership
- Partner with the Plant Head and functional managers on manpower and people-related matters.
- Identify workforce-related risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Support implementation of organisation-wide HR initiatives at the plant.
- Analyse workforce trends and share insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Labour Management or a related discipline.
- 8 to 13 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Plant HR, recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, contract labour management and learning coordination.
- Sound knowledge of labour laws and factory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem solving skills.
