PunahPrayog Private Limited is a bootstrapped, technology-driven, turnkey textile circularity company aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8, 12, 13, and 17. The company facilitates hotel chains & corporate campuses in converting post-use linen into measurable ESG outcomes and tradeable carbon assets.
PunahPrayog bridges gap between physical recycling & digital compliance offering immutable SaaS tracking, automated carbon-credit accounting & Green Credits under India's sovereign Green Credits Programme.
PunahPrayog's Core Services
- Bulk collection, segregation, sorting, downcycling, upcycling and recycling of post-use textiles including bed and bath linen, uniforms, tablecloths and napkins
- Technology-driven auditable, immutable chain-of-custody records from collection point to recycling
- BRSR-aligned ESG disclosures, lifecycle assessment (LCA) inputs, volume and impact metrics
- Certified COe e avoided reports and tradeable carbon certificates under Government of India's sovereign Green Credits Programme
- Customised SaaS sustainability dashboard with real-time reporting of COe saved, carbon credits accrued, landfill and incineration diversion
- Third-party verification by DNV, Bureau Veritas, or Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change empanelled verifiers
- Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance support
2. Role Overview
Own and lead sales and marketing of Punahprayog's unique, technology-enabled sustainability programme to the hotel industry across India. This is top leadership, outcome-oriented role for a professional who is a hunter with significant experience & exposure of selling to Indian hotel chains & has an established network at decision-making levels, particularly amongst Corporate Sustainability Heads and Procurement Heads at hotel HQ level.
President, Marketing will report directly to Co-Founder & Managing Director; will own full sales cycle from initial outreach & stakeholder engagement through proposal, commercial negotiation & contract closure.
The role is fully remote; President, Marketing will operate from home base & travel as required to market and sell Punahprayog's programmes.
3. Roles & Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Client Acquisition
- End-to-end responsibility: identify, prospect and convert hotel chains, hotel management companies & corporate campuses into paying clients for Punahprayog's textile circularity programme
- Build and continuously manage: Structured sales pipeline covering target chains (To be discussed & finalised in consultation with President, Marketing) like IHCL (Taj Hotels), ITC Hotels, Marriott India, Oberoi, Hilton India, Hyatt India, AccorHotels India, Radisson Hotel Group India, Lemon Tree Hotels, Sarovar Hotels, OYO Workspaces, Brigade Hospitality and other chains
- Lead & execute all stages of sales cycle: Warm outreach discovery meeting needs assessment solution presentation commercial proposal negotiation- contract execution- handover to operations
- Develop and execute: Structured, account-based approach targeting hotel chain HQs securing enterprise-wide and/or cluster-level agreements
- Identify and activate referral channels: Hospitality consultants, FF&E; (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) and OS&E; (Operating Supplies & Equipment) procurement advisors, and sustainability consultancies
- Represent Punahprayog at key industry forums: HICSA, FHRAI Annual Convention, FAITH Conclave, CII Sustainability Summits, HAI events, HRAWI gatherings, and relevant ESG conferences
B. Corporate Sustainability Head & C-Suite Engagement
Personally engage directly and substantively with primary decision-making constituencies for Punahprayog's services: Corporate Sustainability Heads, ESG Managers, Chief Sustainability Officers, and BRSR Compliance Officers at hotel chain corporate offices
Present Punahprayog's customised value proposition: Tailored each chain's existing sustainability programs, BRSR reporting obligations, published net-zero or sustainability commitments, ESG reporting cycles, and EPR compliance requirements
Engage with other decision makers across hotel chain:
Operations & Procurement Heads, CFOs to close commercial case alongside sustainability pitch
Facilitate and manage introductions: Between Punahprayog's operations and compliance teams and hotel chain's designated teams
Track, maintain & share: Each target chain's sustainability commitments, reporting needs & their timelines, existing waste management vendors, BRSR disclosures to help Punahprayogs Circularity Technology & Sustainability Operations Team to develop services to meet specific needs
C. Stakeholder Relationship Management
Own and deepen relationships with leadership: At chain HQ level and at Individual Unit levels
Serve as Punahprayog's primary relationship owner: For signed clients during onboarding and subsequent service period ensuring smooth service transitions and high client satisfaction
Leveraging existing personal industry network: Generating warm introductions to prospective clients; network depth at chain HQ level is a core requirement
Actively engage hotel industry associations: FHRAI, HAI, FAITH, CII Tourism Committee, HRAWI to build Punahprayog's institutional presence and access to decision-makers
D. Marketing & Brand Building
Own Punahprayog's marketing identity within hospitality sector: Develop messaging, positioning, and customised collaterals tailored to sustainability & procurement decision-makers of Indian hotel chains
Create and maintain key marketing materials: Pitch decks, one-pagers, ESG impact case studies, chain-specific capability statements and ROI / carbon-credit value summaries
Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns: LinkedIn, hospitality sustainability newsletters, and trade publications (Hotelier India, Hotel & Tourism Review, etc.)
Promote Punahprayog sustainability solutions: Author thought leadership content white papers, blogs, LinkedIn articles that position PunahPrayog as the premier solution provider for hotel textile circularity, BRSR compliance and tradeable carbon credits
Arrange Punahprayog nomination for relevant industry awards & recognition programmes: Green Hotelier Awards, CII-ITC Sustainability Awards, FHRAI Sustainability Recognition, ET Hospitality Awards
Media management: Manage media relationships in sustainability trade publications, hotel federations and subtle PR in hospitality industry
E. Revenue Management & Commercial Oversight
Own hospitality and corporate campus vertical revenue target: Set detailed targets with timelines in consultation with Co-Founder & Managing Director and review every month with him
Design Templates: For commercial proposals: pricing structures, and SLA frameworks in coordination with operations, Circularity Technology & Sustainability Operations and finance teams
Develop, track and report critical commercial metrics: Number of qualified leads, active proposals, properties onboarded, monthly textile volume contracted and revenue per client Kg
Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within signed accounts: Additional hotel requirements, carbon credit advisory, Sustainability Certification (Green Key, LEED, EarthCheck) Readiness Programmes, LCA reporting upgrades
Manager CRM: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date CRM record of all prospects, clients, interactions, proposals, and pipeline stages
F. Market Intelligence & Regulatory Tracking
Monitor regulatory environment: EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) MoEFCC notifications, SEBI BRSR updates, India's Green Credits Programme, and Carbon Credit Trading Scheme notifications
Track competition and similar services: Hotel waste management, textile recycling & sustainability SaaS platforms
Market intelligence inputs: Share structured inputs of product, service, pricing,& partnership strategy to Co-Founder & MD
Identify emerging segments beyond hospitality: Corporate campuses, Healthcare, Education and develop a business case for phased entry with appropriate timelines
4. Primary Deliverables
Primary Year 1 Target: Onboard at least 6 hotel chains and 2 Corporate Campuses in the first year. (To be discussed & finalised in consultation with President,
Marketing)
5. Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
Network (Non-Negotiable): Must have demonstrable, warm, existing relationships at decision-making level within Indian hotel chains specifically Corporate Sustainability Heads, ESG Managers, and Procurement Heads at chain HQ level. Candidates must be able to list at least 5 such contacts.
Hospitality Sales Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly selling to Indian hotel chains, with a proven track record of independently closing commercial agreements at chain or multi-property level.
Travel Readiness: Must be willing and able to travel intensively across India.
Remote-Work Discipline: Must be comfortable and productive in a fully remote, outcome-focused setting with minimal supervision.
Education: Graduate or Post-graduate preferably in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management, or a related discipline.
Sustainability Literacy: Good working understanding of hotel sustainability processes, BRSR reporting, and circularity principles. Must be able to hold informed conversations with Corporate Sustainability Heads without repeated reliance on internal technical support.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Prior exposure: To sustainability services, ESG advisory, waste management, and/or circular economy products marketing to hotels and/or corporates
Experience: Working within or having sold into hotel chain corporate sustainability, procurement, or CSR departments at HQ level
Established network with hotel industry associations: FHRAI, HAI, FAITH, CII Tourism Committee, HRAWI
Familiarity with Sustainability Programmes: India's Green Credits Programme, carbon credit markets, EPR regulations, BRSR compliance frameworks
Startup or early-stage company experience: Track record of building sales processes from scratch without institutional support

Consultative Selling: Can sell a complex, multi-stakeholder, compliance-linked solution by diagnosing client needs (BRSR pressure, carbon targets, EPR risk) and mapping Punahprayog's services to those needs
Sustainability Literacy: Understands BRSR disclosures, carbon accounting, LCA principles, and the Green Credits Programme well enough to hold credible conversations with specialist sustainability professionals
Brand Storytelling: Can translate complex environmental compliance services into compelling, accessible value propositions for multiple audiences Sustainability Heads, CFOs, Procurement Heads
Remote Accountability: Self-driven, proactive communicator who achieves results without prompting and escalates blockers early. Outcome-focused, not activity-focused
