Job SummaryWe are looking for an SQL Server Application DBA to support database deployments, environment management, application database support, and day-to-day database operations in a project-driven environment. The role focuses primarily on application and production database support rather than database infrastructure administration.Key Responsibilities

- Support SQL Server database deployments across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Perform database changes, releases, patch-related activities, and deployment script execution.
- Monitor SQL Server performance and troubleshoot slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, locking, CPU, memory, I/O, and job failures.
- Perform SQL Server performance tuning, including query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, statistics, and stored procedure tuning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduled processes, and ETL/database-related failures.
- Manage SQL Server database users, logins, roles, permissions, and security access.
- Review SQL Server error logs, database health, storage utilization, and other operational metrics.
- Support backup and restore operations, recovery activities, and database availability requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, service requests, and production issues.
- Review database code changes, deployment scripts, and SQL objects prior to implementation.
- Support GitHub pull requests, code merges, version control, and release activities.




- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot application/database issues and optimize SQL code.
- Collaborate with Agile teams, developers, project managers, business analysts, and product owners across multiple applications.
- Participate in production releases, incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-production support.
- Maintain database documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational standards.

Required Skills

- Robust hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration and application support.
- Experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 or equivalent recent versions.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of execution plans, indexing, statistics, query optimization, locking, blocking, and deadlocks.
- Experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, alerts, schedules, and troubleshooting job failures.
- Experience managing SQL Server logins, users, roles, permissions, and security.
- Experience supporting database deployments across QA, UAT, and Production.
- Knowledge of SQL Server backup, restore, recovery, and database maintenance.
- Experience with database monitoring, error logs, CPU/storage utilization, and operational troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GitHub/Git, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
