About the Role

Shikhar Academy is looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and student-focused teacher to teach English and Social Science to Classes VI–X (CBSE, English Medium).

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of both subjects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts in a simple, engaging, and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English and Social Science to Classes VI–X according to the CBSE curriculum.
- Deliver well-structured and engaging classroom lessons.
- Explain concepts clearly using examples and practical applications.
- Prepare classwork, homework, worksheets, assignments, and revision material.
- Conduct regular tests and assessments.
- Track and improve students' academic performance.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support where required.
- Prepare students for school examinations and CBSE-based assessments.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Coordinate with the academy management regarding students' progress.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduation/Post-Graduation in English, Social Science, Humanities,



Education, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Classes VI–X will be preferred.
- Excellent command of English grammar, literature, and writing.
- Good knowledge of History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, and Economics at the CBSE level.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Ability to teach students with different learning levels.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to students' academic improvement.

Experience

1–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and robust communication skills may also be considered.

Working Hours

Monday–Saturday | 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Salary

Negotiable — based on experience, qualification, and teaching ability.
