- We are looking for an experienced IBM DataPower & API Connect Consultant with solid expertise in API development, integration, security, and API management.
- The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting API solutions using IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop APIs using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower.
- Install and configure DataPower, API Connect, and Advanced Developer Portal in standalone and cluster environments.
- Design and implement API and integration solutions for internal and external applications.
- Configure and customize the API Connect Developer Portal.
- Configure API Connect Cloud integration with DataPower.
- Implement API lifecycle management and API security solutions.
- Configure DataPower services such as MPGW, WAF, WebServiceProxy, and Web XML Firewall.
- Implement built-in and user-defined API policies, security definitions, gateway scripts, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Manage backup and restoration of API Connect configuration data, APIs, and products.
- Integrate API platforms with external user registries.
- Design and develop LoopBack applications.
- Develop and integrate applications using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML protocols and message formats.
- Work with OpenAPI Specification, XML Schema, XPath, XSLT, and XQuery.




- Analyze existing architecture and recommend suitable architectural and integration improvements.
- Support network architecture and extranet integration requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
- The source JD specifically requires experience in API design/development, DataPower and API Connect installation/configuration, Developer Portal customization, API security, and integration using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
