Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop electrical schematics and control systems for pharmaceutical process machines using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Prepare complete electrical documentation, including circuit diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, and related drawings.
- Create and maintain Bought-Out Article numbers in EPLAN, Teamcenter, and SAP.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components and panels in EPLAN, Teamcenter, and SAP.
- Design, select, and validate control panels, PLC panels, and MCC panels based on project requirements.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable development specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, Assembly, Quality, and other cross-functional teams for successful project execution.
- Work closely with PLC/SCADA programmers for I/O mapping, hardware integration, and overall system integration.
- Incorporate design changes based on Alpha and Beta testing feedback and maintain proper revision control.
- Maintain accurate electrical documentation, drawing revisions, BOMs, and project records.
- Participate in design reviews and identify opportunities to improve machine reliability, safety, maintainability, and efficiency.
- Support software programmers during commissioning of current prototype machines
- Perform minor software modifications on prototypes under the guidance of the software programmer.

Strategic & Planning Responsibilities

- Select and size electrical and electronic components such as servo drives, motors, circuit protection devices, power supplies, control components, and electrical cabinets.
- Perform electrical panel sizing and heat-load calculations.
- Plan and coordinate with vendors for electrical hardware integration and implementation.
- Develop and execute testing and validation protocols to verify machine performance, functionality, and safety compliance.
- Plan activities in line with project requirements and organizational timelines.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned engineering deliverables and project milestones.

Functional Responsibilities Core Responsibilities :

- Ensure all electrical engineering milestones and deliverables, including EPLAN drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation, are completed within the defined project timelines to support successful prototype launch.
- Take ownership of the design, creation, setup, testing, and commissioning of electrical hardware to meet machine requirements.
- Select and size critical machine electrical components, including servo drives, motors, control components, and electrical panels.




- Coordinate with Electrical Design and Shopfloor teams for successful panel manufacturing, machine wiring, electrical implementation, and functional testing.
- Coordinate with PLC/SCADA programmers to ensure proper hardware-software integration, I/O mapping, and machine functionality.
- Coordinate with Quality teams for successful validation of prototypes, including electrical hardware, PLC/SCADA software, and automation-related functions.
- Support Documentation and QA teams in preparing and completing prototype validation and qualification documentation.
- Ensure proper handover of electrical and automation content required for ITR, DQ, IQ, and OQ documentation for the confirmed product.

Must-Have Competencies :

- Expert-level knowledge of electrical hardware planning and EPLAN Electric P8.
- Hands-on experience in electrical panel manufacturing, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical/process machinery.
- Good understanding of servo systems, drives, motors, PLCs, control panels, safety circuits, and industrial communication.
- Experience in electrical component selection, sizing, and panel heat-load calculations.
- Experience in preparing and handing over content for ITR, DQ, IQ, and OQ validation documentation.
- Basic working knowledge of:
- Siemens PLC
- Mitsubishi PLC
- SCADA

- Good understanding of machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and prototype validation.

Ability to coordinate effectively with Mechanical, Software, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Shopfloor teams.
