Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance & Accounts function and provide strategic financial leadership to the organization.
The CFO will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, taxation, cash-flow management, internal controls, statutory compliance, risk management, financial reporting, and supporting business growth through data-driven financial decisions.
The ideal candidate should have strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in corporate finance, accounting, taxation, financial controls, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute the organization's overall financial strategy.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the MD/CEO and senior management.
- Support business expansion, investments, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Evaluate financial implications of major business decisions and investments.
- Establish financial policies, processes, controls, and governance frameworks.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis

- Lead annual budgeting and business planning processes.
- Prepare financial forecasts, projections, and scenario analysis.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide MIS and management reports with actionable financial insights.
- Analyze revenue, profitability, costs, margins, and business performance.
- Develop and monitor key financial KPIs.

3. Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Oversee the complete accounting and financial reporting function.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Ensure accuracy of the Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and other financial reports.
- Establish appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Monitor and optimize cash flows and working capital.
- Develop cash-flow forecasts and liquidity plans.
- Manage receivables, payables, credit controls, and collection cycles.
- Ensure adequate liquidity for operational and strategic requirements.
- Optimize utilization of working capital and financial resources.

5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance





- Oversee direct and indirect taxation matters.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax laws, including:
- Income Tax
- GST
- TDS
- Professional Tax
- Other applicable statutory requirements

- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and assessments.
- Identify tax planning opportunities within the applicable legal framework.

6. Audit & Internal Controls

- Lead statutory, internal, tax, and other financial audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and risk-management processes.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Establish effective checks and balances to prevent financial irregularities.

7. Banking & Treasury Management

- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee banking operations, fund requirements, and financing arrangements.
- Evaluate debt and financing options.
- Monitor interest costs, bank charges, guarantees, and other financial arrangements.
- Ensure efficient treasury and liquidity management.

8. Business Finance & Commercial Management

- Provide financial analysis for new projects, contracts, and business opportunities.
- Review commercial agreements and financial terms.
- Conduct profitability and cost-benefit analysis.
- Support pricing and commercial decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.

9. Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Build a high-performing finance function.
- Ensure continuous improvement and adoption of best financial practices.

10. Technology & Process Improvement

- Drive automation and digital transformation of finance processes.
- Improve ERP/accounting systems, MIS, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and integrity across financial systems.
- Promote process standardization and automation to improve efficiency.

Educational Qualification

- CA (Chartered Accountant) preferably mandatory.
- CA + MBA/PGDM in Finance will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with solid corporate finance leadership experience may also be considered based on the organization's requirements.

Experience

- 15+ years of overall experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, Head Finance, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in financial planning, accounting, taxation, audit, treasury, compliance, and business finance.
- Experience in managing large finance teams and working directly with senior management/Board.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in a growing or multi-location organization.
- Experience in financial strategy and business transformation.
- Strong exposure to ERP implementation and finance automation.
- Experience in fundraising, banking relationships, debt management, or investment planning will be an advantage.
- Experience working with statutory auditors, tax authorities, consultants, and financial institutions.
