About the Role

We are looking for a Sub-Editor Hindi News to join our digital news team. The ideal candidate should have strong Hindi language skills, a good understanding of current affairs,

and experience in writing, editing, and publishing news content for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, edit, rewrite, and publish Hindi news stories for digital platforms.
- Monitor breaking news, trending topics, national, political, business, entertainment,

sports, and other current affairs.

- Create clear, accurate, engaging, and digital-friendly headlines.
- Verify facts, names, numbers, quotes, and other key information before publishing.
- Edit copy for grammar, readability, accuracy, and language quality.
- Follow SEO best practices while creating headlines, titles, and story content.
- Identify trending topics and news developments that can generate audience interest.
- Work closely with reporters, editors, and other newsroom teams to ensure timely

publishing.

- Handle breaking news updates and ensure stories are published within tight deadlines.
- Update existing stories with new developments and maintain accuracy throughout the

news cycle.

- Follow editorial guidelines, publishing standards,



and ethical journalism practices.

Requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in Hindi digital journalism/news publishing.
- Excellent command of written Hindi and good understanding of Hindi grammar.
- Strong knowledge of current affairs, national news, politics, and trending topics.
- Experience working with a CMS/news publishing platform.
- Understanding of SEO, digital headlines, keywords, and audience-focused content.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet quick publishing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and fact-checking ability.
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced digital newsroom.

Preferred Background

Candidates currently or previously working with Hindi digital news portals, newspapers,

TV news digital teams, or news websites such as Jagran New Media, Amar Ujala, Dainik

Bhaskar, Live Hindustan, News18 Hindi, Aaj Tak Digital, ABP News, TV9 Hindi, Zee News,

India TV, Punjab Kesari, Patrika, Jansatta, Prabhat Khabar, etc. would be relevant.
