About the Role

We are a professional services company looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Security & IT Specialist to implement, secure and maintain our IT environment.

We are standardizing on Microsoft 365 Business Premium as our core IT and security platform and are preparing for ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.

This is a hands-on implementation role. The candidate should be able to personally implement, configure, secure and maintain the technology workplace rather than only provide recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess the existing Microsoft 365 and IT environment.
- Configure and harden Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
- Implement Entra ID, MFA and Conditional Access.
- Set up Intune for centralized Windows device management.
- Configure Defender for Business and Defender for Office 365.
- Implement appropriate Microsoft Purview controls.
- Configure BitLocker, security baselines, patching and device compliance.
- Establish secure user onboarding/offboarding and access controls.
- Review firewall, backup and endpoint security.
- Set up IT/security documentation and asset inventory.
- Monitor Microsoft 365, Defender and Intune.
- Perform regular security, patch, vulnerability, backup and access reviews.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and endpoint issues.
- Maintain IT/security documentation and configurations.
- Provide monthly IT/security status reports and recommendations.




- Maintain technical configurations and documentation required for ISO 27001.
- Provide technical evidence to the separate ISO 27001 consultant when required.
- Implement technical remediation identified through ISO assessments/audits.

Strong hands-on experience with:

- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium
- Entra ID / Conditional Access
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Defender for Business
- Defender for Office 365
- Microsoft Purview
- Windows Endpoint Security
- MFA / BitLocker
- Microsoft 365 Security Hardening
- Networking / Firewalls
- Backup and Recovery

ISO 27001 experience is a plus, but this is NOT an ISO consultant role.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 security and administration experience.
- Proven experience implementing Intune, Entra ID and Defender.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security and identity/access management.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working from office in Sector 90, Noida.
- Must be available for a contractual engagement.
