IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and discussions.
Create BRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
Analyze source systems, data flows, and define transformation rules.
Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers on data models, ETL requirements, and data quality.
Create and maintain Data Mapping Specifications (DMS/LMS). Identify data transformation and business rules.
Manage requirement changes, scope, and stakeholder priorities.
Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for development teams.
Create process models and support requirement reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment.
Communicate requirement updates and solutions to project teams and stakeholders.
Technical background with hands-on experience on Excel, SQL, Databricks SQL,



and technical business analytics
Technical background with hands-on experience on ETL/ELT Concepts, Data Modelling, Star Schema, Data Marts and Data Lakehouse Concepts
Business Analyst Qualifications / Skills:
10+ years working experience as IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Logical and effective, with keen attention to detail
Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
Highly self-motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
