About the Role

EY India is looking for experienced professionals to join its Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team as a Technical Accounting Manager. This role provides an chance to work with global clients across industries and support complex accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory matters under IFRS and US GAAP.

The successful candidate will advise clients on technical accounting issues, accounting policy development, new accounting standard implementation, GAAP conversions, financial statement preparation, and complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical accounting advisory under IFRS, US GAAP, and UK GAAP.
- Assist clients with accounting standard implementation and accounting transformations.
- Support complex accounting areas such as:
- Business Combinations
- Consolidation
- Revenue Recognition
- Lease Accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842)
- Financial Instruments
- Share-Based Payments
- Debt vs Equity Classification

- Prepare technical accounting memorandums and white papers.




- Conduct accounting research and document conclusions.
- Review financial statements, disclosures, and accounting policies.
- Collaborate with global EY teams across Americas, EMEIA, and APAC.
- Lead client engagements and manage project delivery.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and financial reporting

Preferred Background

- FAAS / Accounting Advisory / Financial Reporting Advisory experience
- Experience managing teams and client engagements
